Saturday was a racing kind of day...both the horse kind and the people kind. Andy had a
triathlon at the Air Force Academy in the morning. So we drove up there with Thomas and Marge (who had gotten in around midnight the night before) to show our support. The weather was terrible but A-Train
persevered and conquered. He even looked like a superhero in his black spandex, and he totally killed the competition.
Here's a picture of our hearts bursting with pride. Kristy even made cool t-shirts.
Skylar and I had to leave early for Addie's Derby birthday party. It was anything but sundress weather, but what is a Derby party without a sundress? So on they went (with sweaters), despite the 39 degree weather. A girl's gotta look good you know.
She wore her new sundress from Aunt Nicole and her sweater from
Granbabe. They actually sell this exact same dress for women, but I couldn't bring myself to match her. Okay I
did consider it...and would have done it....but I look terrible in yellow.
Skylar loves parties, especially the singing, clapping and cupcake eating. The hat.....not so much.
Luckily, Amy was smart and made some tiny little cupcakes so Skylar thought she was getting a whole one:)
